T-Shirts Wine: Nice Legs Crew

“Legs” (or “tears”) of wine are the streaks of liquid that run down the inside of a glass after swirling, caused by alcohol and water evaporating and the resulting mixture dripping down due to surface tension (the Gibbs-Marangoni effect). They indicate a wine’s alcohol content, sweetness, and viscosity, with higher alcohol/sugar leading to thicker, slower, more pronounced legs, but they are not a direct sign of quality.
